About
DriftBox Play started as a group chat where a few of us kept swapping screenshots of games that actually worked on the subway. At some point we realized nobody was writing about offline titles seriously, so we made our own little corner of the web to do exactly that.
We're a small editorial team. Everyone here plays for hours before a single word gets published — no press releases copy-pasted, no hype. If a game needs a constant connection or nags you every five minutes, it usually doesn't make the cut.
We pick games by a simple rule: does it stay fun when you're stuck offline for an hour? We test on cheap and mid-range phones too, because not everyone carries a flagship. Battery drain, load times, and how the controls feel with one thumb all matter to us.
The site is independent. We buy or download the games ourselves, and we write what we actually think. Sometimes that means a game we wanted to love gets a lukewarm score.
