Big Bass Fishin
We spent a rainy weekend with Big Bass Fishin and honestly came away relaxed. The core loop is simple: pick a spot, choose a lure, cast, and wait for the line to tug. When a fish bites you get a little reel-in minigame where you balance tension against the fish pulling away, and it feels genuinely tactile on a touchscreen.
What surprised us is how much depth hides under the calm surface. Different waters hold different fish, weather changes what's biting, and you slowly unlock better rods and lures as you go. None of it requires a connection — we played the whole session in airplane mode with no hiccups.
Controls are one-thumb friendly. You flick to cast and hold-and-drag to fight the catch. It runs smooth even on our old test phone, and the ambient water sounds make it a nice wind-down game before bed.
