Iron Tide Command
★★★★☆ 4.2
Iron Tide Command scratches a very specific itch — the joy of a plan coming together. You manage a fleet, plot routes across a grid of dangerous waters, and make hard calls about which ships to risk. Each mission is a puzzle wrapped in a strategy shell.
It plays in short bursts, which we appreciated. A single mission runs five to ten minutes, perfect for a commute. Everything happens locally, no server check-ins, and the campaign missions are all bundled at install.
The difficulty curve is fair but firm. Later maps introduce weather and enemy reinforcements that force you to rethink lazy habits. We lost a few times and never felt cheated.
What we liked
- Bite-sized tactical missions
- No connection needed to play
- Difficulty that rewards thinking
